Cecil Rhodes is a hotly debated subject mainly to his racist policies and claim - that “the English are first race in the world”.It has been muted that re was the role model for Hitler.
The local council in Bishop’s Stortford where Rhodes was born are considering changing the name of the arts centre that is attached to the place where he was born, Netteswell House. However, they have still to make a statement in regard to a change of name, to the road that bares his name.
