27.06.2019; Stansted UK: AIR INDIA BOMB THREAT ROUTE
Air India passengers were 'frisked' and had their bags hand searched and checked by sniffer dogs after the Boeing 777 was diverted into Stansted Airport following an alleged bomb threat on board.
The Boeing 777 plane travelling from Mumbai to Newark in the US was escorted back over Northern Ireland flanked by RAF fighter jets to Stansted.
This was the second time in a week that the RAF Thyphoons from RAF Connisby had to be scarmbled to deal with an air incidence.
