The security around the Duchess of Cambridge appears to have been increased. This was in evidence when a Royal Protection Officer was seen clsose to her as she carried out a walkabout in Centenary Square at Leicester University, Leicester. The detective standing next to her went to great lengths to cover what appeared to be a large gun under his jacket. In addition there were more royal protection and other police officers present than usual at the event.
