presented a guidon to The Royal Lancers who are based in Catterick.
The Queen added an honorific suffix to the regiment's name to mark 70 years of her being its Colonel-in-Chief. The regiment will now be known as The Royal Lancers (The Queen Elizabeths' Own)
Prince Andrew, The Duke of York, who is Deputy Colonel-in-Chief of the regiment was also present at the event.
Queen Elizabeth will be celebrating her 91st birthday on 21st April 2017.
