CAMILLA, DUCHESS OF CORNWALL.visits The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery to open the new King George VI Lines in Woolwich. .The Duchess also met service personnel from the troop and presented operational medals to those who have recently returned from Afghanistan..The King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery is Her Majesty The Queen's ceremonial Saluting Battery. The Regiment was established by His Majesty The King George VI on 24 October 1947. Known as 'The Troop' it is a mounted unit and all of its soldiers are superb equestrians trained to drive a team of six horses that pull the thirteen pound state saluting gun.
