11.10.2016; Thimpu, Bhutan: KING WANGCHUCK, QUEEN JETSUN AND SON PRINCE JIGME
on the occasion of the 9-month-old Prince’s (The Gyalsey) first celebration of Dassain at Lingkana Palace.
The King granted Dassain tikka and blessings to representatives of the Hindu community gathered at the Lingkana Palace.
Dassain, (which is also known as Dusshera) is the most important of Hindu festivals, celebrated by billions of Hindus across the world. Dassain occurs on the tenth day of the festival, following prayer ceremonies dedicated to goddess Durga.
