had were granted an audience with King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema at the Tashichhodzong in Thimphu. 
During their audience the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were shown around the Golden Throne Room of the Dzong, before they lit a thousand butterlamps at the Grand Kuenrey of the Dzong. 
The Duke and Duchess were invited into the Lingkana Palace as they were leaving the Dzong. They will return to the Palace later for a Private Dinner with Their Majesties.
