Durban, South Africa - 29.10.2022: KING MISUZULU KAZWELITHINI FORMAL CORONATION
In a formal coronation ceremony at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal President Cyril Ramaphosa officially recognised King Misuzulu KaZwelithini as the reigning King of the Zulu nation by presenting him with a Certificate of Recognition.
Despite being King Goodwill Zwelithini's third oldest surviving son, King Misuzulu's accession to the throne was not instant. Being the first son of Late King Goodwill Zwelithini’s Great Wife Queen Mantfombi Dlamini, gave him increased status among the late King's other 28 children. His traditional coronation took on 20 August 2022 after the customary entering the cattle kraal ceremony.
