Stockbridge, England - 13.05.2024: KING CHARLES HANDS OVER COLONEL-IN-CHIEF TO PRINCE WILLIAM
King Charles lll officially handed over the role of Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps to his son Prince William,The Prince of Wales.
at the Army Aviation Centre in Middle Wallop, England.
The King, as Prince of Wales had held the role for 31 years.
Ironically the last time King Charles, as Prince of Wales and Colonel Chief of the Army Air Corps visited the Army Aviation Centre was when Prince Harry was stationed with the 673 Squadron Army Air Corps on 21st March 2011 and when he presented Harry with his wings on completion of his Army Pilot Course on 7th May 2010.This was prior to Prince Harry beginning his Army Apache conversion role course at Naval Air Facility El Centro in California.
