22.06.2019; Ascot, UK: RISKY ROYAL DRIVERS!
In the week that a police motorcycle outrider escorting The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to the Garter Service, knocked down an 83-year-old woman causing serious injuries, it was rather irresonsible to see the Royal Drivers not adhering to the traffic law, by taking risks.
On each day of Royal Ascot the Royal Chauffeurs used hand puppets to attract the attention of the waiting crowds who lined the streets of Windsor to observe the procession. This meant they had only one hand on the steering wheel while driving on a public road and were therefore breaking the law.
Motorists who disregard the rule of not having full control of their vehicles while using mobile phones or other items face stiff penalties.
Surprisingly the offences were commited in full view of the police on motorbiikes.
