Queen Rania of Jordan, the wife of King Abdullah ll will celebrate half a century on Monday 31st August 2020.
Queen Rania was born in Kuwait to a Palestinian family on 31st August 1970. Moving to Jordan for work, she met the then Prince Abdullah, marrying the now King of Jordan in 1993.
The mother to four children - Crown Prince Hussein, Princess Iman, Princess Salma and Prince Hashem, she is always at the forefront in the fight for women’s and human rights.
The images looks back at her family life, official engagements, awards and humanitarian awareness.
21.05.2017; Cannes, France: QUEEN RANIA
received an award at the 2017 Fashion for Relief charity gala in Cannes, in recognition of her humanitarian efforts towards children caught in conflict.
The charity gala was held in support of Save the Children’s work in Jordan and in areas of conflict and crises around the world and the organization’s Every Last Child Campaign.
